Zend Framework is an open-source, result-oriented Web Application Development Framework that is implemented in PHP 5. Being a highly object-oriented framework it treats everything as an object, thereby making the code reusable. It is used specifically for the purpose of building a wide range of secure, scalable and feature-rich web 2.0 applications. It utilizes the MVC paradigm, i.e. Model View Controller, a programming language developed for the purpose of separating business logic and presentation layer of application from each other. Being an open-source platform, it has numerous contributors. It makes programming quite simple not just by integrating the MVC pattern but assisting in other related tasks such as access to databases, output to a file, etc.
